“प्रभु जो चाहते हैं, वही करो”
प्रभु येसु मसीह में प्यारे भाइयों और बहनों,
आज वर्ष का 19वाँ इतवार है। आज के पाठों द्वारा प्रभु ईश्वर हम सबसे एक प्रश्न पूछ रहे हैं: “क्या तुमने वही किया जो मैंने तुमसे कहा था?”
प्रिय मित्रों, यह प्रश्न आज हम सब से व्यक्तिगत रूप से पूछा जा रहा है। पहले पाठ के अनुसार ईश्वर नबी एलियाह से पूछ रहे हैं कि वह गुफा में क्या कर रहे थे। ईश्वर ने नबी को प्रोत्साहित करके इस्राएलियों के पास वापस भेजा ताकि वह प्रभु का कार्य पूरा करें।
दूसरे पाठ में संत पौलुस इस्राएलियों (ईश्वर द्वारा चुनी गई प्रजा) के उद्धार के लिए अपना समर्पण व्यक्त करते हैं और इस बात पर आश्चर्य करते हैं कि जिन्हें ईश्वर का विधान प्राप्त हुआ, वे उसके मसीह को कैसे नहीं पहचान पाए।
“Do What the Lord Asks”
Dear brothers and sisters in Lord Jesus Christ,
Today is the 19th Sunday of the year. Through today’s readings, the Lord God is asking us all a question: “Did you do what I told you to do?”
Dear friends, this question is being asked of each of us personally today. In the first reading, God asks the Prophet Elijah what he was doing in the cave. God encouraged the Prophet and sent him back to the Israelites to carry out the Lord’s work.
In the second reading, Saint Paul speaks of his dedication for the salvation of the Israelites, God’s chosen people. He is perplexed how those who received God’s covenant could fail to recognize His Messiah.
The essence of both readings is beautifully reflected in the Gospel where Lord Jesus walks on water to come to His disciples. Just as God never abandoned Israel, the Lord encourages and helps His disciples in every difficult situation.
The meditation on today’s Word gives us the clear answer: We must do what the Lord wants from us — and that is to put our faith in Him.
