“प्रभु येसु का रूपांतरण”
प्रभु येसु मसीह में प्यारे भाइयों और बहनों,
हम सब यह भली-भाँति जानते और मानते हैं कि जब हम किसी संकट के शिकार हो जाते हैं तो जो व्यक्ति हमें समस्या से बाहर आने का उचित सुझाव देता है, हम उसे ईश्वर का साक्षात प्रतिनिधि मान बैठते हैं।
इस दृष्टिकोण से यदि आज के सुसमाचार के परिप्रेक्ष्य को हम ध्यान से समझें तो हमें यह मालूम पड़ेगा कि प्रभु के शिष्य यह जानकर कि वह यहूदियों द्वारा प्रताड़ित होकर क्रूस पर चढ़ाए जाएँगे, बहुत हताश थे।
तभी प्रभु उनकी उदासीनता को दूर करने और उनके विश्वास को और दृढ़ बनाने हेतु पेत्रुस, याकूब और योहन को अपने साथ पर्वत पर ले जाते हैं और उन्हें अपने प्रभुत्व, दैविकता और स्वर्गिक ऐश्वर्य के दर्शन कराते हैं।
“The Transfiguration of the Lord”
Dear brothers and sisters in Lord Jesus Christ,
We all know very well that when we are struck by some calamity, the person who gives us the right suggestion to come out of the problem is often regarded by us as God’s visible representative.
Looking at today’s Gospel from this perspective, we understand that the Lord’s disciples were very disheartened knowing that He would be persecuted by the Jews and crucified.
To remove their despondency and strengthen their faith, the Lord takes Peter, James, and John up the mountain and reveals to them His glory, divinity, and heavenly majesty.
The Transfiguration of the Lord is the foundation of our faith because it confirms our firm belief that Jesus is the only Son of God, true God from true God, who came on earth in human form to make us — who were separated from God because of sin — heirs of the Kingdom of God.
Come, dear brothers and sisters, let us contemplate the Transfiguration of our Lord today and ask for the grace of firm faith and the strength to proclaim this faith through our lives, so that God’s Kingdom may be fully established on this earth and among its people.
