“ईश्वर की उदार कृपा”

02/08/26 पहला पाठ इसायस 55:1-3, सुसमाचार संत मत्ती 14:13-21

प्रभु आज के पहले पाठ में अपने लोगों को अनुग्रहपूर्ण आमंत्रण देते हैं कि जो ईश्वर के सुसमाचार के सत्य के प्यासे हैं, वे आएँ और उसके उत्तम प्रावधान का भरपूर आनंद लें। जो आध्यात्मिक रूप से दरिद्र हैं, उन्हें मुफ्त और बिना किसी मूल्य के दिया जाता है।

आज के सुसमाचार में हम रोटियों के चमत्कार को सुनते हैं, जिसमें प्रभु पाँच हज़ार लोगों को रोटी खिलाते हैं।

प्रभु आज के संदर्भ के द्वारा हमें जीवन के सच्चे स्रोतों की ओर बुलाते हैं और उनकी कृपा एवं प्रेम का अनुभव करने के लिए आमंत्रित करते हैं। हमें भी प्रभु की तरह दूसरों की ज़रूरतों में उनकी सहायता करने का प्रयास करना चाहिए, ताकि हम प्रभु के अनुग्रह में निरंतर बढ़ते जाएँ।

“God’s Generous Grace”

In today’s first reading the Lord extends a gracious invitation to His people — calling those who thirst for the truth of the Gospel to come and partake in His abundant provision, freely given to all who are spiritually hungry.

In the Gospel from Matthew 14:13-21, we witness the miracle of the loaves where Jesus feeds five thousand people with five loaves and two fish.

Through these readings, the Lord calls us to the true sources of life and invites us to experience His grace and love. We too should strive to help others in their needs, just as the Lord did, so that we may continue to grow in His grace.

Isaiah invites the thirsty to come for free living water and bread without money, urging them to listen for the everlasting covenant like the faithful mercies of David — God’s word that does not return empty.

Jesus, grieving John’s death, withdraws but the crowds follow Him. Moved with compassion, He feeds 5,000 with five loaves and two fish. Everyone is satisfied, and twelve baskets of leftovers remain — a beautiful miracle of abundance from little.

These promises and provisions declare God’s generous grace: there is no cost for the sustenance of the soul. His call echoes eternally, multiplying our small offerings into feasts for multitudes and satisfying the deepest hungers through Christ.
