“प्रभु येसु जीवित हैं — उनके साक्षी बनें”
आज के पहले पाठ में हम एक जन्म से लंगड़े व्यक्ति की चंगाई के बाद पेत्रुस के शक्तिशाली उपदेश को सुनते हैं। पेत्रुस स्पष्ट करते हैं कि यह चमत्कार उनकी अपनी शक्ति से नहीं, बल्कि प्रभु येसु मसीह के नाम की शक्ति से हुआ है। उन्हीं येसु को लोगों ने अस्वीकार किया, क्रूस पर चढ़ाया और मार डाला, परन्तु ईश्वर ने उन्हें मृतकों में से जीवित कर दिया।
पेत्रुस लोगों को यह समझाना चाहते हैं कि प्रभु येसु केवल इतिहास का एक पात्र नहीं हैं, बल्कि आज भी जीवित हैं और उनकी शक्ति संसार में कार्य कर रही है। इसलिए वे लोगों को पश्चाताप करने और ईश्वर की ओर लौटने के लिए आमंत्रित करते हैं।
सुसमाचार में हम देखते हैं कि शिष्य भय और असमंजस में एकत्रित थे। तभी प्रभु येसु उनके बीच प्रकट होते हैं और कहते हैं, “तुम्हें शांति मिले।” वे उन्हें अपने हाथ और पैर दिखाते हैं तथा उनके सामने भोजन करते हैं, जिससे उनका विश्वास दृढ़ हो जाए कि वे सचमुच जीवित हैं।
इसके बाद प्रभु उन्हें धर्मग्रंथों का अर्थ समझाते हैं और बताते हैं कि दुःखभोग, मृत्यु और पुनरुत्थान ईश्वर की योजना का भाग थे। अंत में वे अपने शिष्यों को यह महान उत्तरदायित्व सौंपते हैं: “तुम इन बातों के साक्षी हो।”
आज ये दोनों पाठ हमें एक ही सत्य की याद दिलाते हैं कि प्रभु येसु जीवित हैं। वे आज भी हमारे जीवन में कार्य करते हैं, हमें शांति प्रदान करते हैं और हमें अपने प्रेम के साक्षी बनने के लिए बुलाते हैं।
जब हम भयभीत होते हैं, प्रभु हमें साहस देते हैं। जब हम निराश होते हैं, वे हमें आशा देते हैं। जब हम पाप में गिरते हैं, वे हमें पश्चाताप और नए जीवन का अवसर देते हैं।
आइए हम अपने जीवन द्वारा यह घोषणा करें कि प्रभु येसु जीवित हैं। हम शांति, आशा और प्रेम के वाहक बनें तथा अपने शब्दों और कर्मों से उनके पुनरुत्थान के साक्षी बनें।

“Jesus Is Alive — Be His Witnesses”
In today’s first reading, we hear Peter’s powerful proclamation after the healing of a man who had been lame from birth. Peter makes it clear that this miracle was not accomplished by his own power, but through the name of Jesus Christ. The very Jesus whom the people rejected and crucified has been raised by God from the dead.
Peter wants the people to understand that Jesus is not merely a figure of the past. He is alive, and His power continues to work among us today. Therefore, Peter calls everyone to repentance and conversion of heart.
In the Gospel, we find the disciples gathered together, filled with fear and uncertainty. Suddenly, Jesus appears among them and greets them with the words, “Peace be with you.” To strengthen their faith, He shows them His hands and feet and even eats before them, proving that He is truly risen.
Jesus then opens their minds to understand the Scriptures and explains that His suffering, death, and resurrection were all part of God’s plan of salvation. Finally, He entrusts them with a mission, saying, “You are witnesses of these things.”
Both readings remind us of one central truth: Jesus is alive. He continues to work in our lives, bringing peace, hope, and salvation to all who believe in Him.
When we are afraid, He gives us courage. When we are discouraged, He fills us with hope. When we fall into sin, He offers us forgiveness and a new beginning.
Today we are invited not only to believe in the Resurrection but also to become witnesses of it. Through our words, actions, and way of life, let us proclaim to the world that Jesus Christ is alive and continues to transform lives.
