“पश्चाताप और प्रभु की पुकार”

आज के पहले पाठ में हम पेत्रुस की घोषणा सुनते हैं: “इस्राएल का सारा घराना यह निश्चित रूप से जान ले कि जिन्हें आप लोगों ने क्रूस पर चढ़ाया, ईश्वर ने उन्हीं येसु को प्रभु और मसीह बनाया है।” यहाँ “प्रभु” का अर्थ है ईश्वर, और “मसीह” का अर्थ है अभिषिक्त, जिसे हमारे उद्धार के लिए चुना गया है। पेत्रुस दृढ़ता से घोषणा करता है कि येसु ही प्रभु और मसीह हैं।

जब लोगों ने यह सुना, तो उन्होंने पूछा, “हमें क्या करना चाहिए?” पेत्रुस ने उत्तर दिया, “पश्चाताप करो और अपने पापों की क्षमा के लिए येसु के नाम पर बपतिस्मा ग्रहण करो।” उसी दिन लगभग तीन हजार लोगों ने बपतिस्मा लिया।

यही प्रश्न आज भी हमारे सामने है, “हमें क्या करना चाहिए?” हमें येसु को अपने जीवन का प्रभु मानकर उसी के अनुसार जीवन जीना है। यदि हम क्रोध में दूसरों को चोट पहुँचाते हैं, तो हमें धैर्य और क्षमा सीखनी चाहिए; यदि हम झूठ से लाभ खोजते हैं, तो हमें सत्य का मार्ग अपनाना चाहिए।

सुसमाचार में मरियम मगदलीन कब्र के बाहर रोती है। उसे लगता है कि सब कुछ समाप्त हो गया है। लेकिन जब प्रभु येसु उसे नाम लेकर पुकारते हैं, “मरियम!” तब वह उन्हें पहचान लेती है। उसकी निराशा आनंद में बदल जाती है और वह उन्हें “रब्बोनी” कहती है, जिसका अर्थ है “गुरुवर”।

प्रभु आज भी हमें बुलाते हैं। आइए हम पश्चाताप करें, अपने जीवन को बदलें और प्रभु के सच्चे साक्षी बनें। आमेन॥

“Repentance and the Call of the Lord”

In today’s first reading, we hear Peter’s proclamation: “Let the whole house of Israel know with certainty that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.” Here, “Lord” means God, and “Messiah” means the Anointed One, chosen for our salvation. Peter firmly declares that Jesus is truly Lord and Messiah.

When the people heard this, they asked, “What should we do?” Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins.” On that very day, about three thousand people were baptized.

The same question stands before us today: What should we do? We are called to accept Jesus as the Lord of our lives and live accordingly. If we hurt others in anger, we must learn patience and forgiveness; if we seek gain through falsehood, we must choose the path of truth.

In the Gospel, Mary Magdalene stands outside the tomb, weeping. She feels that everything is lost. But when the Lord Jesus calls her by name, “Mary!”, she recognizes Him. Her despair turns into joy, and she calls Him “Rabboni,” which means “Teacher.”

The Lord still calls us today. Let us repent, transform our lives, and become true witnesses of the Lord. Amen.

“हमारे साथ रहिए, प्रभु”

आज के सुसमाचार में हम दो शिष्यों को देखते हैं, जो येरुसालेम जा रहे थे। वे उदास थे; वचन कहता है, “उनके मुख मलिन थे,” क्योंकि जिसे वे मसीहा मानते थे, उसकी क्रूस पर मृत्यु हो गई थी और उनका सपना टूट गया था। इसी यात्रा में प्रभु येसु उनके साथ हो लेते हैं, पर वे उन्हें पहचान नहीं पाते।

हमारे जीवन में भी ऐसा होता है। कठिनाइयों, दुःख या निराशा में हमें लगता है कि प्रभु हमारे साथ नहीं हैं, जबकि सच्चाई यह है कि वे हर कदम पर हमारे साथ चलते हैं।

प्रभु येसु उन्हें धर्मग्रंथ समझाते हैं और बताते हैं कि यह ईश्वर की योजना थी कि उनको दुःख भोगना, मरना और तीसरे दिन जी उठना है। जब वे रोटी तोड़ते हैं, तब शिष्यों की आँखें खुल जाती हैं और वे उन्हें पहचान लेते हैं।

इस सुसमाचार से हम तीन बातें सीखते हैं। पहला, ईश्वर के वचन में शक्ति है। वचन सुनने से उनकी निराशा आशा में बदल गई, और हमारा जीवन भी बदल सकता है। दूसरा, प्रभु येसु पवित्र यूखारिस्त में उपस्थित हैं; इसलिए हमें उन्हें श्रद्धा और तैयारी के साथ ग्रहण करना चाहिए। तीसरा, हमारा जीवन प्रभु की ओर होना चाहिए; शिष्य उन्हें पहचानकर तुरंत लौटे और सुसमाचार सुनाने लगे।

प्यारे भाइयों और बहनों, जब जीवन अंधकारमय लगे, तो याद रखें कि प्रभु हमारे साथ हैं। आइए हम उन्हें अपने जीवन में स्थान दें और कहें, “हमारे साथ रहिए।” तब हमारा जीवन बदल जाएगा और हम उनके सच्चे साक्षी बनेंगे। आमेन॥

“Stay With Us, Lord”

In today’s Gospel, we see two disciples on their way to Jerusalem. They were sad; the Scripture says, “their faces were downcast,” because the one whom they believed to be the Messiah had been crucified, and their hopes were shattered. On this journey, the Lord Jesus joins them, but they are unable to recognize Him.

This also happens in our lives. When we face difficulties, sorrow, or discouragement, we feel that the Lord is not with us, whereas the truth is that He walks with us at every step.

The Lord Jesus explains the Scriptures to them and shows that it was God’s plan for Him to suffer, die, and rise on the third day. When He breaks the bread, the eyes of the disciples are opened, and they recognize Him.

From this Gospel, we learn three things. First, there is power in the Word of God; their despair turned into hope when they listened to the Word, and our lives can also be transformed. Second, the Lord Jesus is present in the Holy Eucharist; therefore, we must receive Him with reverence and proper preparation. Third, our life should be directed toward the Lord; once the disciples recognized Him, they immediately returned and began to proclaim the Gospel.

Dear brothers and sisters, when life feels dark, remember that the Lord is with us. Let us invite Him into our lives and say, “Stay with us.” Then our lives will be transformed, and we will become His true witnesses. Amen.
